From a single vantage point in the room, the dots line up and flatten out the space, as in a drawing.  A reversal of the western painting tradition of creating the illusion of depth on a flat surface, my attempt to make a 3-dimensional space appear flat speaks to contemporary constructions of virtual reality.  In the end, the room resisted a complete flattening. 2011.
